Restructuring Baron Capital’s digital presence around its four-part investment process, so the site demonstrates the ethos instead of describing the returns.

Where they started

Baron Capital had spent four decades building a distinct identity: long-term, ownership-minded investors backing growth companies with durable advantages and aligned, ethical teams, grounded in deep fundamental research. The site communicated performance well. But as the firm leaned further into ownership-style investing and deep research, the digital presence needed to evolve with it. The brief was to turn an informational site into a living reflection of the investment ethos, where every interaction demonstrates conviction, process, and purpose.

What I did

I started inside Baron’s own principle, “One Firm, One Focus, One Investment Approach,” and pulled four pillars from it: idea generation, research, portfolio construction, and risk management. Those became the structure of the whole site. I rebuilt the information architecture around the four pillars, with distinct paths for institutional investors, advisors, and individuals, so each visitor could follow Baron’s thinking from first idea through to managed risk. The design shifted toward long-term stewardship: growth-themed imagery, interactive timeline sliders and process walkthroughs that bring the idea-to-risk sequence to life, and a confident typographic hierarchy carrying copy rewritten in Baron’s own owner’s voice.

Where it landed

A concept redesign where the structure itself carries the philosophy. The four-pillar architecture helps a mixed audience surface what matters to them, a cohesive narrative connects research, ESG, and performance, and Baron’s owner-investor stance becomes more visible and memorable. The point was that every page reinforces the identity rather than asking visitors to take it on faith.
